Fruit Baskets?

I have never watched this anime and i wanted to know if it wuz any good..uh...if you dont know what anime is dont answer plz. Also if you have no clue wut Fruit Baskets is plz dont answer either.

It is like my favorite thing in the world! The manga is so much better though but the anime is still good! The anime had more humor while the manga went into more depth and detail. The anime stops on volume 8 of the manga. so far there are 13 volumes in the US. book 14 comes out 8/8/06 The theme song is liek my fave too.





16 year old Tohru Honda is living in a tent beacuse her grandfather is having some remodeling done. She didnt%26#039; want to bother her two friends. She is taken in by the mysterious Sohma family with a big secret. Now she is living with the prince of her school, Yuki Sohma and his hot headed cousin Kyo Sohma. She finds out that they are cursed and accepts them and heals the whole Sohma family little by little.

Curse: The Sohma Curse is a zodiac curse. There are 13 cursed members. They are possed by the spirits of the chinese zodiac. They have no special powers... but they can contact with their animal. When they are hugged by the opposite sex or under a lot of stress they transform.

If u watch the 1st few episodes u%26#039;ll get hooked and u%26#039;ll find cute characters like Haru,Kyo,and Yuki and very funny characters like Momiji,Shigure,Kagura,and Ayame.The story is about a girl name Tohru Handa whose mother died and lives in a tent 4 a while until Yuki Shoma finds her trying 2 get her stuff out of a mudslide one rainy night,later she finds out that every member of the Shoma family is part of the Chinese Zodiac like Yuki(the rat),Kyo(the cat who was left out the zodiac b/c of the old tale that the rat tricked the cat 2 come 2 da banquet was the next day but the banquet was that night and now he%26#039;s mad at Yuki b/c he%26#039;s the rat),and Shigure(the dog) throughout the anime Tohru will meet other members of the Chinese Zodiac,especially

Yes, this is a good anime about a young high-school girl, Honda Tohru. Having lost her mother in a car accident, she has come to live alone in a tent in the forest near her school. Never a quiitter, she strives to honor her mother%26#039;s memory and work hard to do the best she can with her life.


One day, she happens across a house in the woods, not far from her makeshift abode. The residents, Sohma Yuki and his cousin Shigure, aren%26#039;t total strangers. Sohma is the coolest guy at Tohru%26#039;s school! And meet other family member and then found their secret.


Fruits basket has 26 episodes. The anime version make me dissappointed with the ending. If you want to know the story after the anime strory you must read the manga.

Reply:Whether you think its good or not its a matter of opinion-it all depends what kind of anime do you like. I personally like this anime its really good- it has romance and it has its sad and funny moments.


Summary; After Tohru Honda looses her mom in a car accident she is left with no home and is forced to live outside in a tent. A classmate Yuki Sohma (which happens to be the most popular guy in school) sees her and offers her to help her...but she soons finds out that YUki%26#039;s family has a huge secret-whenever a member of the Sohma family is hugged by a someone of the opposite sex they turn into one of the animals of the zodiac. As the story progresses tohru sees how each member of zodiac has to suffer by carrying this curse. Throughout the course of the stroy the zodiac members become very attached to her....but there is only one problem Akito (the head of Sohma family) wants to get rid her.....In the story the main focus is the love triangle between kyo(a member of the Sohma family)-Tohru-and Yuki. Also they all trying to figure out how to break the curse..
Reply:Though everyone seems to have something to say about it, it is worth watching. I%26#039;m actually the youngest person where I work and everyone that borrows my DVD%26#039;s loves it. These are people that are 35+ and have no clue what anime is. The only negative feedback, I ever get from them is

Reply:The anime is ok i guess, but the manga is so much better, the theme song is good. The manga is so much longer and detailed and is more of a Kyo and Tohru kind of thing, but the anime is more of a Yuki Tohru kind of thing. The anime is short and ends weirdly and so far there will not be a sequel it ends at book 8. go to

Reply:first of all its %26quot;FRUITS BASKET%26quot; not %26quot;FRUIT BASKETS%26quot; just to let u know....and yea its abt a girl named Tohru Honda who knows a terrible secret abt Sohma family......her mother passed away...n she was living in tent, when Sohma family took her in.....she soon learned that the Sohma family is curse! Each family member is possessed by the vengeful spirit of an animal from the Chinese Zodiac. Whenever one of them becomes weak or huggeg by a member of the opposite sex, they change into their Zodiac Animal.....this a short review.....HOPEFULLY U GONNA ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I DO!! n there new series is coming out in Aug 2006 volume 14.....and YEA PPL ITS MANGA......
Reply:The show is great and filled w/ drama, lots of comedy, romance, and all that good stuff but, if you plan on getting into this show I recommend that you read the manga. The show has 26 episodes that only go up to volume 6 in the manga. The anime leaves alot of questions unanswered and there are no plans to release more episodes in Japan. The manga however is up to around 20 volumes (13 released in America) and is still going strong. All together though Fruits Basket rocks and I defiantly recommend it ~.^
